Gillespie Group President Pat Gillespie was joined by Izzo Family Medical Center partners Tom & Lupe Izzo; Kirk Ray, President and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing, part of Grand Blanc-based McLaren Health Care; Seth Ciabotti, CEO of MSU Health Care; and Dr. Robert Fitzgerald Interim President of Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, at an official ribbon cutting for the new $25 million Izzo Family Medical Center development located in the University Health Park.

Situated south of the new McLaren Greater Lansing hospital, the Izzo Family Medical Center is a beacon of innovation. It houses national-renowned and advanced services that will bring further access to exceptional care in the region. The services include an Outpatient Imaging Center – a partnership with McLaren Greater Lansing and MSU Health Care - a Multi-Specialty Clinic by McLaren, and a Pediatric Specialty Center by nationally-renowned Corewell Health’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

The MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center will welcome its patients starting June 26 and offer the most advanced Imaging technology in the area. The 22,632-square-foot facility is one of the largest imaging facilities in mid-Michigan and includes four new wide-bore MRI systems along with a new PET/CT scanner which allows for faster scanning times for patients’ comfort. The MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center will also include X-ray/General Radiology, Bone Density Dexa and Ultrasound with convenient appointment times. The partnership also allows for the training of the next generation of physicians and staff.

Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital will expand its nationally recognized pediatric services in its Pediatric Specialty Center starting July 11th by providing seamless patient care from the new hospital’s Birthing Center through integrated diagnostic pediatric and adult services. Their pediatric services will consist of Biochemical Genetics, Cardio Electrophysiology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Pulmonology and Rheumatology, with additional services being added in the future. Adult services will include Congenital Heart and Maternal Fetal Medicine.

With its first patient being seen on June 26th, McLaren continues to grow its excellent care and innovative services through its Multi-Specialty Clinic. Their services will consist of internal medical, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, urogynecologist services, and imaging.
