Financial Services

MSU Health Care appreciates payment at the time of service. We understand that is not always possible and offer you several convenient options to pay for medical services. You can learn more about various methods to pay. If you have a question or need assistance with payments, please contact MSU Health Care Patient accounts at 1-800-964-3968 or HT.msuhtpatientaccounts@msu.edu.

Notice: Patient Portal and Billing Updates Effective January 31, 2026

MSU Health Care is transitioning to the MSU Health Care/Henry Ford MyChart system beginning January 31. This change is designed to improve your care experience and provide more integrated access to your health information.

  • Your health information moves with you: Key elements of your medical record, such as medications, allergies and immunizations, will be securely transferred to Epic/MyChart.
  • New billing statements for services: Beginning January 31, billing statements for new services will come from Henry Ford Health. You'll also have MyChart payment options including updated payment plans and service estimates. For billing questions, please call the phone number listed on your statement.
  • Access to past services remains available: Your Athena Health patient portal will continue to be available for viewing and paying bills for services received before January 31.
  • MyChart account activation: You may activate your MyChart account starting January 31. Step-by-step instructions will be sent to you in advance.
