MSU Health Care will be relocating its imaging services located at the Clinical Center to the new MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center. This state-of-the-art facility is at the Izzo Family Medical Center, situated on the McLaren Greater Lansing Health Care Campus within the University Health Park, and is set to open on June 26, 2023. The imaging services located at 4660 South Hagadorn Road in East Lansing will remain as is.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with McLaren Greater Lansing,” said Seth Ciabotti, MSU Health Care Chief Executive Officer. “The Outpatient Imaging Center will provide our patients with the latest in imaging technology and research, ensuring they receive the best possible care and treatment.”

The new Outpatient Imaging Center will include four wide bore-MRIs, which are designed to provide high-quality imaging, making it easier to obtain diagnoses in less scanning time. The PET and CT scans will also be more efficient, allowing for shorter exam times and greater patient comfort.

In addition to the upgraded MRI, PET, and CT scans, the Outpatient Imaging Center will feature low-dose CT scans. These scans use lower levels of radiation to obtain images, reducing the risk of exposure for patients. Other brand-new equipment will include general x-ray, fluoroscopy, bone density, and ultrasounds, providing patients with a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services.

“Our new scanners do what used to be impossible by providing clearer more diagnostic scans that are also much faster,” said Mark DeLano, MD, FACR, MSU Department of Radiology chair. “This speed enhances patient comfort and result in more accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. We are excited for this new chapter in MSU Health Care and McLaren Greater Lansing’s commitment to excellence in medical imaging and patient care."

Moving these imaging services to the new Outpatient Imaging Center will allow patients a more convenient and comfortable experience. The Outpatient Imaging Center will provide extended operating hours and weekend appointments to accommodate a wider range of schedules. Patients will also benefit from the clinical and research expertise of the providers and technologists.

The MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center represents the continued investment in the health and well-being of the mid-Michigan community. By providing patients with the latest in imaging technology and equipment, MSU Health Care and McLaren Greater Lansing are helping to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and treatment.
