LANSING, Mich. – Barbie fans and aspiring professionals of all ages are invited to embark on an inspiring journey with the newest traveling exhibit, Barbie You Can Be Anything, opening at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing, MI. This exciting and interactive exhibit will be available from September 14, 2024, to January 19, 2025

Since her debut in 1959, Barbie has been a trailblazer, showcasing diverse careers and encouraging imaginative play. Barbie You Can Be Anything celebrates this legacy by inviting visitors to explore 15 different STEM professions through the lens of Barbie’s iconic dolls. From an archaeologist to a pilot, and from a doctor to an engineer, this exhibit highlights the wide array of possibilities for everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or background.

“We are thrilled to host Barbie You Can Be Anything, the latest blockbuster exhibit, produced by the Children's Museum of Indianapolis,” said Erik Larson, Executive Director of Impression 5 Science Center. “The acquisition of this exhibit is the latest strategic effort by Impression 5 to secure traveling exhibits that members of the Greater Lansing Community would typically have to travel to outside regions to enjoy. By providing these opportunities, the Science Center is strengthening the cultural fabric of our community and attracting visitors from throughout the State of Michigan to the Capitol Region.”

Barbie You Can Be Anything aims to foster imagination and ambition, demonstrating that each of us can make a significant impact by pursuing what excites and fulfills us. Interactive displays and engaging activities will allow visitors to step into various professional roles and envision their own potential futures.

“The Barbie exhibit is designed to spark conversations about how anyone can pursue and achieve success across a wide range of careers. It serves as a reminder that the potential for greatness exists within each of us.” said Kristine Allen, Chief Operating Officer at MSU Health Care.

Barbie You Can Be Anything is proudly supported by the Dart Foundation, MSU Health Care, MSUFCU Desk Drawer Foundation, Choose Lansing, and the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA). Their generous support makes this exhibit possible and ensures that it will be an enriching experience for all visitors.

This exhibit was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Mattel.
