MSU Health Care Sports Medicine named official medical provider for the Lansing Roller Derby Team

East Lansing, MI – The Lansing Roller Derby team will be well cared for by their new official medical provider and sponsor, MSU Health Care Sports Medicine. This collaboration will ensure that these fierce athletes have access to top-notch local medical care so they can compete at the highest level.

As the official medical provider, MSU Health Care Sports Medicine, a clinic within MSU Health Care that serves Michigan State University athletes (Big Ten Conf – NCAA Div1) and the community, will be offering services tailored to the needs of roller derby athletes.

“MSU Health Care Sports Medicine is laser focused on delivering the highest quality of care with expediated access to all area athletes,” said Micah Lissy, MD, MS PT, ATC, CSCS, an orthopedic surgeon at MSU Health Care Sports Medicine. “We are open to creating relationships with any group or team in the region so we can support the care and safety of athletes throughout mid-Michigan.”

As the official medical provider, MSU Health Care Sports Medicine, a leader in sports medicine and injury rehabilitation, will be offering immediate access to health professional, injury prevention webinars and medical guidance tailored to the unique demands of roller derby athletes.

The Lansing Roller Derby has become a pillar in the Lansing sports scene, drawing crowds to their fast-paced bouts and inspiring fans with their athleticism and grit. This sponsorship will play a vital role in ensuring the team stays in top form as they take on competitors throughout the season. Their next match is Saturday, Feb. 22, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Court One Training Center, 7868 Old M-78, East Lansing, MI.
