EAST LANSING, MI – MSU Health Care Sports Medicine is now the official medical provider and sponsor of the Capital Area Crisis Rugby Football Club (RFC), one of Lansing's most lively and competitive sports teams. This collaboration highlights MSU Health Care’s commitment to enhancing athlete care and supporting local sports communities.
Capital Area Crisis RFC now has access to sports medicine experts for athlete evaluation, injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. By working closely with the club, these experts will help players remain at peak performance throughout the season while prioritizing their health and safety.
“MSU Health Care Sports Medicine serves as the official medical provider to Michigan State University athletes and the community by offering services tailored to the needs of the Capital Area Crisis Rugby athletes,” said Micah Lissy, MD, MS PT, ATC, CSCS, an orthopedic surgeon at MSU Health Care Sports Medicine and a World Rugby certified team physician. “I’ve played and coached rugby for over 20 years. I’m excited to be part of an effort that prioritizes the health and well-being of our region’s rugby athletes.”
