MSU Health Care extends a warm welcome to one of our newest providers, Patrick Huck, MD, MBA, FACS, CPE. Dr. Huck joins MSU Health Care specializing in comprehensive general surgery, with a focus on complex wound management and minimally invasive and narcotic-sparing techniques. He is an assistant professor of surgery in the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After receiving his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, Dr. Huck completed general surgery residency at Summa Health System — Akron City Hospital, in Akron, Ohio. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Leadership from Ashland University, in Ashland, Ohio.

As a former Active Duty Air Force General Surgeon at Uniformed Services University of The Health Sciences, and more recently at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Huck has a long history of teaching medical students and residents. A significant portion of his career has been focused on surgery quality, safety, surgical mentorship, and coaching.

Dr. Huck’s clinical interests include laparoscopic colectomy, complex hernia repair, and robotic/endoscopic procedures, along with gallbladder disease and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
