Lansing, MI – With an unwavering commitment to supporting local athletes and fostering a thriving sports culture, MSU Health Care Sports Medicine will contribute its expertise to the growing success of Lansing City Arena and the broader sports community.

“As the medical provider for over 30 mid-Michigan organizations, including schools, tournaments, sports teams and facilities, we always are excited to be part of the community by offering our expertise,” said Micah Lissy, MD, MS PT, ATC, CSCS, an orthopedic surgeon at MSU Health Care Sports Medicine.

Futsal is an indoor, fast-paced version of soccer. The game is played indoors on a hard court with only five players per team including the goaltender. The ball used in futsal is smaller and heavier with lower bounce than a soccer ball. Futsal focuses on control, skill and speed.

Lansing City Arena is home to a diverse array of sports and activities including the Lansing City Futsal team, which participates in the competitive USL 2 and FCS leagues. The arena also hosts Lansing City Arena Pickleball, Ballistic Volleyball Club and Capital City Flips Gymnastics, making it a premier destination for athletes and sports enthusiasts of all kinds.

MSU Health Care Sports Medicine serves as the official medical provider to Michigan State University athletes (Big Ten Conf – NCAA Div1) and the community by offering services tailored to the needs of the Lansing City athletes.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to elevating athletic performance and supporting our community’s athletes,” said Jeremy Klepal, president and winger of Lansing City Futsal. “With MSU Health Care’s expertise and dedication to quality, we’re ready to take our game to the next level. Thank you, MSU Health Care Sports Medicine, for believing in us and fueling our passion for soccer and futsal in Lansing."
