The MSU Health Care Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic is set to close operations June 1, 2025. This guide will outline the steps to transition care so that your child's healthcare needs continue to be met seamlessly.
What Is Happening
MSU Health Care Pediatric Hematology and Oncology services will close on June 1, 2025. However, patients under the care of Dr. Renuka Gera will have the opportunity to continue seeing her at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, ensuring continuity of care.
Dr. Gera will offer services for conditions like:
- Sickle cell disease
- Other hematologic conditions
- Oncology off-treatment follow-ups for cancer
For ongoing oncology treatment, UMH-Sparrow plans to reintroduce local services soon, allowing future availability of care closer to home for Lansing-area patients.
