EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Health Care is excited to announce the expansion of our cardiology and vascular surgery services with the opening of the MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center on June 5. The center will be leading the way with clinical trial research with the use of ground-breaking AI technology. This AI technology has the potential to completely transform the way abdominal aortic aneurysms are diagnosed and managed.

“The MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center is a testament to our commitment to patient-centered care,” said Jordan Knepper, MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center’s medical director. “By combining cardiology and vascular surgery into one location, we ensure that each individual receives personalized treatment and support.”

At the MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center, located at 4660 South Hagadorn Road in Suite 600, patients will be able to receive care from:

MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center will offer cardiology services such as ambulatory blood-pressure monitoring, cardiology consultations, non-invasive cardiology testing, echocardiography, EKG testing, and stress tests.

The center’s vascular imaging and surgical services include treating conditions such as abdominal aortic aneurysm, complex venous disease, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins and nonhealing ulcers.

The center will further expand adding a minimally invasive vascular lab, later this summer, to perform angioplasties, atherectomies, central and peripheral venous interventions, diagnostic angiography and venogrography, dialysis access maintenance, intravascular ultrasound, peripheral arterial interventions in lower extremities and stenting.

“I am very enthusiastic to be part of the integration of cardiology and vascular surgery services at MSU Health Care Heart and Vascular Center,” said Dr. Abela. “By combining our expertise, we can deliver more personalized treatment plans, enhanced coordination, and improved outcomes for our patients.”
