COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Symptoms

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), patients with COVID-19 have experienced mild to severe respiratory illness. Symptoms include the following:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Diarrhea
  • Muscle pain or fatigue
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • New loss of taste or smell


WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE SICK WITH COVID-19

The CDC advises these steps for individuals ill with COVID-19.

  • Stay home except to get medical care
    • This includes work, school or public areas
  • Separate yourself from other people and animals in your home
    • Try to stay in a specific room as much as possible
  • Call ahead before visiting your doctor
    • When seeking care call and let your provider know you may have COVID-19
  • Wear a facemask when around others or receiving medical care
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or cough into your arm
  • Avoid sharing personal household items: dishes, drinking glasses
