Patients can expect results by the next day. If you experience a delay or need an urgent result such as for travel, please email info@nxgenmdx.com and provide your confirmation number.

The cost of the test at this location will be billable to insurance for those with symptoms or exposure. Patients will be asked to sign into a portal and choose the desired delivery for results via text or email. Uninsured patients are covered by the CARES ACT and will use their driver’s license number or social security number to register.

The MSU COVID-19 Early Detection Program

Additionally, those within the MSU community have access to free testing through MSU COVID-19 Early Detection Program, a saliva-based PCR test with results in 24-36 hours.  Learn more information about this program at: https://earlydetection.msu.edu/. MSU students and employees who are required to submit weekly testing must continue to use the EDP program.

  • Where can I park?

  • How is the sample collected?
Individuals self-collect a sample (known as a mid-turbinate sample) that does not have to go as deep into the nostril as a nasopharyngeal swab (commonly known as a “brain tickler”). You will self-swab under the observation of one of the medical staff after receiving instruction. If you are uncomfortable with self-swabbing, medical staff can perform the collection for you, if requested. Staff will perform all test collections for children.
  • How much is the test? Do I need insurance?
The cost of the test at this location will be billable to insurance for those with symptoms or exposure. Patients will be asked to sign into a portal and choose the desired delivery for results via text or email. Uninsured patients are covered by the CARES ACT and will use their driver’s license number or social security number to register.

If you are not experiencing symptoms, have not been recently exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, and do not have any risk factors, you are required to pay a fee $100 for your COVID-19 test.
